Despicable Me

Hello Folks!

I finally made my way out to see Despicable Me this past weekend. It was short but so cute and funny, I would definitely recommend that you go out and see it! So as promised after seeing it I had to make my minion beanie! I'm pretty excited about how he turned out soo judge for yourself! :) AND of course since there were so many different style minions I am offered to do two eyes, different hair, etc. If you happen to want one head over to my shop here.

More Toy Story Fun!

As promised I have made a new Toy Story beanie! This time I decided to try my hand at the aliens. I have to say this was a challenging project. I did run into quite a few roadblocks along the way but all in all I think the struggle was worth it!

I'm planning on doing at least a few more of the characters. I'm not completely sure which ones but I think I will attempt slinky dog next. If you have ideas of who you would like to see next feel free to share! I'm happy to take suggestions! :) If you'd like one go here!

To Infinity, and Beyond?

In honor of the new movies release I've decided to make some hats for the characters. I decided to start with Hamm and go from there! :) I am planning on doing the Aliens next! If you'd like to purchase him go here!

I'm also super excited for the release of "Despicable Me".. The minions are awesome so I may attempt some character hats for that movie as well. Any who, thats all I have for now hope everyone has a lovely 4th of July!! :)

Here I am again apologizing for the lack of updates, lol. I thought early summer would be a slow season for crochet, but I thought wrong! Currently, I am working on catching up on everything and then I hope to get new items up on the shelves!

I'm hoping to save up enough money from sales to buy a new sewing machine soon! So buy a hat and contribute to the "Get Clarinda a Sewing Machine Fund"!! After I get a new machine it will open the door to lots of new awesome products!

After making the Mario DS case I just had to make Luigi as well. Luigi and Wario are really my two favorites, I'm considering making a Wario case for the new DS XL. Of course finding the time to do everything I want to do isn't always easy. I actually sold my first Mario case this week and it's going out to Italy! 

I am quite happy with how these came out, I think I'd like to make them into messenger bags eventually. I also have a lot of ideas for other Mario items so keep a look out for those! For now I'm working on orders and making some new custom Disney stuff for customers. Hopefully, I will have even more new stuff heading your way soon! Happy Friday everyone! :) 

Mario DS Case

So, I promised you all something super geeky and awesome so here it is! I made a Mario DS case for my DSi. I was really excited about how it turned out! It has a velcro closure on the inside and a couple of pockets on the back for games!

I plan to make a Luigi version next! I'm also offering to do Wario and Waluigi versions so that everyone can have their favorite character. I plan to do more Nintendo items soon, not sure what yet. If you have suggestions feel free to leave comments! :)

It finally happened..

I've been promising new items for quite sometime now, and with Summer beanies are obviously not a necessary item. I have a friend who adores anything Mickey or Disney so she inspired this Mickey Mouse travel/beach tote. I think this is the largest crochet project I've taken on thus far. I'm really pleased with the way it turned out. I made this bag large so that it would be the perfect size for taking on a Disney vacation, going to the beach, or even for taking to the gym. It's quite spacious on the inside and I included a small cell phone pocket.

I've yet to list this item because I've decided to give the original copy to my friend. Once I do list it I am going to also offer it in a smaller handbag size for those who want to have one for everyday use. I plan to have lots more purses, totes, cell holders, and ds/psp holders coming your way! :) I am working on a DS case as we speak, it's going to be super geeky and cute. Jacks, Jacks, EVERYWHERE!

I'm not quite sure why, but it seems everyone is going Jack Skellington crazy this week! I've made four just in the past two days. I had them all laying on my desk and they looked really great together, so I had to take a photo to share! I actually did an order of four Jack hats for a customers grandchildren, and one of them is a newborn. She is going to send me pictures!

I believe that is all of the updates I have for now, I just wanted to let you know that I am still here working away at hats. I'm sorry I haven't gotten anything new up lately I just got a bit swamped! I am working on new items and I'm actually steering away from hats for the summer. I'm going to try to add some new purses, cell phone holders, Nintendo DS cases, and PSP cases! Until we meet again have a good night all!! :)

Plants vs Zombies

I've been a HUGE fan of Pop Cap ever since I played Peggle (If you haven't played, you really must!). Recently, I downloaded a trial of Plants vs Zombie and my head exploded! It's incredibly cutesy but also completely addictive. I love Pop Cap so much, because their games are colorful, cute, and incredibly fun! If you haven't played either of these games please do yourself a favor and hop over to popcap.com you can get a free one hour trial of any game you want. OR if you wanna play one the go you can buy these for your iPhone.. Okay back to the point, after playing Plants vs Zombies I feel inspired to make some super awesome plant gear. So, my next project I believe is going to be a Sun Flower hat or purse. I will keep you posted and please don't forget to protect your brains! :)

Oops!

I've been slacking a bit on this keeping updated stuff, haven't I? A combination of finals, spring break, and this beautiful weather has kept me away from my desk. I don't know about you but I'm thrilled to have Spring here! Easter is tomorrow and I have to admit my favorite thing about Easter is:

Lastly, I did a customized version of my Cheshire Cat beanie, they wanted fangs. I thought it turned out rather nice so I wanted to share it here! :)

I was recently contacted by a non-profit theater group, "Angels on Stage". They provide youth with differing abilities an equal opportunity to participate in a positive theatrical experience.
